Butterfly Sculpture
Rye'sAbove is an annual public arts project and fundraiser led by The Rotary Club of Rye and the Rye Art Center. Katarina was one of the artist selected in 2021 to create her own unique design for a large aluminum butterfly sculpture.
The goal for Rye'sAbove public art project is to uplift the community through the arts while supporting educational programs in the region. Invited artists join in building a cocoon of beauty and creativity that can be the catalyst for metamorphosis in our community.
The selected artists butterflies are displayed throughout the summer in the Rye, NY area and sold at an auction in the end of the season. The proceeds from the auction are utilized for educational programs and scholarships for students in the local Westchester area.
